China firm to punish ‘unscheduled’ pregnancies

A Chinese company plans to demand its employees seek approval to get pregnant and fine those who conceive a child without permission, reports said, provoking a media firestorm on Friday.

“Only married female workers who have worked for the company for more than one year can apply for a place on the birth planning schedule,” read a policy distributed by a credit cooperative in Jiaozuo, in the central province of Henan.

“The employee must strictly stick to the birth plan once it is approved,” it added.

“Those who get pregnant in violation of the plan such that their work is affected will be fined 1,000 yuan (RM607),” it said.

News portal The Paper published a screen shot of the document, adding a company representative had admitted the lender sent the notice to its staff but said it was only a draft seeking employees’ comment.

The circular triggered scathing criticism from Chinese media, with the state-run China Youth Daily lambasting it as bizarre.Violators will not be considered for promotion or awards and their incentives and year-end bonuses will be cancelled “if their pregnancy severely hindered their work”, the policy said.

The company “does not regard its employees as living human beings, instead it treats them as working tools on the production line”, it said in a commentary.

Official interference in personal matters has a long history in Communist China, with the “one child policy” birth control rules, which were imposed in the late 1970s limiting most couples to a single offspring, being the most well known.

Under the rule of Mao Zedong, workers normally needed their employers’ permission to marry.

A worker at a different bank in Henan told the Global Times newspaper that their company asked staff for their pregnancy plans at the beginning of every year.

Please believe that the RM2.6 billion is a donation, says Muhyiddin

Despite Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin being Umno’s deputy president, he has claimed that he was not informed about the recent expose involving RM2.6 billion in donation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s account.
According to the former Deputy Prime Minister, the knowledge of the monies were based on the report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that exposed the matter.
“I was never informed about the RM2.6 billion. I was only informed after the Wall Street Journal exposed and this was witnessed by the (Umno) secretary-general. As the deputy president I did not know.
“I do not want to question the donation funds, I do not want to dispute it either. It is not a small amount though,” he said after officiating  the Pagoh Umno division Women, Youth and Puteri Wings delegates meeting, here, today.

In the mean time, Muhyiddin who was also Pagoh Member of Parliament also recalled his dialogue with Najib when he had asked for an explanation over the money.
“I asked from where (did the money come from), he said from Middle Easteren contributors. I ask who was it and he replied that he can’t tell me.


“I asked him where did the money go to, he said it was into my account. Why in your account? , I asked and he replied that the contributor had told him to put it in his account.
“Do you believe it ? Well you do since someone has told you, you just believe it.”
In addition Muhyiddin also raised questions on the status of the money, claiming that several parties have been demanding for an explanation on the monies following his conversation with several Umno members.
He said, all parties including the people were expecting an explanation regarding the monies that was claimed to have been donated for the party’s use.

“The account has since been closed, is the any balance left ? Has it been banked into the party’s accounts ? I am unable to answer whether these things have happened or not.
“There are still a lot of unanswered questions. If its true that our government is transparent and accountable, we need to show it not only through words.
“Only then would the people be confident that the government is transparent and responsible.”

Najib apologises on behalf of Finance Ministry

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 3, 2015:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today asked for forgiveness for any mistakes made by the Finance Ministry.

“If there was any mistakes and slip of the tongue (kekasaran).
“Me and (Second Finance Minister) Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah and others would like to ask for forgiveness.

“We as a ministry have a heavy responsibility to handle the worldwide economic slowdown that needs intensive attention,” he said at the Finance Ministry Hari Raya open house here today.
He said the ministry had to prepare well and have good financial and fiscal strategy so that the people can achieve their aspirations.
“We have to understand their aspirations and I believe as a team we will do our jobs well.”

China’s ‘breast models’ can earn RM12,000 a month

The ‘breast modelling’ industry in China has reached the stage where ‘breast models’ are able to earn a high income. Members of this new profession are called ‘breast models’.
And it all started because having beautiful breasts is a dream of many girls who pursue beauty. Meng Xin is a Qingdao girl who had been bothered by her big breasts until she accidentally became a breast model. In the past few years, she travelled back and forth between Qingdao and Beijing. One of her photos was even selected for a textbook used by a medical school, which brought her 1,800 yuan.

Many people think breast models should have perfect figure and a beautiful face, but most of the breast models are just ordinary girls with big breasts.
China has many underwear brands and thousands of breast models, who could earn dozens of times more than other ordinary girls by average. These breast models become high-income earners.

Photo shoots for breast models is no different from the normal advertising shoot. The breast models are not naked at all as they will be wearing different types of underwear according to the assignment.
The photos will focus on the breasts generally without disclosing the faces of models.

Raja Bomoh: I was right all along

Despite all the insults and threats received by public and authorities, self-styled Datuk Mahaguru Ibrahim Mat Zin, also known as Raja Bomoh, never gave up in locating missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 and claimed that his prediction was precise.

“(Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has announced that part of the aircraft was found on an island (Reunion Island). Based on my prediction last year, the aircraft would be located on an island but we are unsure which island. Today, my prediction was correct.”
“I was so disappointed with public, Mufti and Islamic Religious Department for claiming that my teachings are deviant.

“I am voluntarily went to KLIA to help retrieve MH370 because we are Malaysians and we are supposed to help each other. I was so annoyed with those who accused me as untrustworthy.”
He concluded by saying he would perform a supernatural ritual within 4 to 5 days so that more traces of the aircraft would appear, thus, helping in the search and rescue operations of the ill-fated flight.
Ibrahim achieved instant fame after he was spotted at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport last year with shamanic tools including coconuts, a bamboo scanner and a carpet to perform his supernatural rituals.
