A Chinese company plans to demand its employees seek approval to get pregnant and fine those who conceive a child without permission, reports said, provoking a media firestorm on Friday.
“Only married female workers who have worked for the company for more than one year can apply for a place on the birth planning schedule,” read a policy distributed by a credit cooperative in Jiaozuo, in the central province of Henan.
“The employee must strictly stick to the birth plan once it is approved,” it added.
“Those who get pregnant in violation of the plan such that their work is affected will be fined 1,000 yuan (RM607),” it said.
News portal The Paper published a screen shot of the document, adding a company representative had admitted the lender sent the notice to its staff but said it was only a draft seeking employees’ comment.
The circular triggered scathing criticism from Chinese media, with the state-run China Youth Daily lambasting it as bizarre.Violators will not be considered for promotion or awards and their incentives and year-end bonuses will be cancelled “if their pregnancy severely hindered their work”, the policy said.
The company “does not regard its employees as living human beings, instead it treats them as working tools on the production line”, it said in a commentary.
Official interference in personal matters has a long history in Communist China, with the “one child policy” birth control rules, which were imposed in the late 1970s limiting most couples to a single offspring, being the most well known.
Under the rule of Mao Zedong, workers normally needed their employers’ permission to marry.
A worker at a different bank in Henan told the Global Times newspaper that their company asked staff for their pregnancy plans at the beginning of every year.
Despite Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin being Umno’s deputy president, he has claimed that he was not informed about the recent expose involving RM2.6 billion in donation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s account.
According to the former Deputy Prime Minister, the knowledge of the monies were based on the report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that exposed the matter.
“I was never informed about the RM2.6 billion. I was only informed after the Wall Street Journal exposed and this was witnessed by the (Umno) secretary-general. As the deputy president I did not know.
“I do not want to question the donation funds, I do not want to dispute it either. It is not a small amount though,” he said after officiating the Pagoh Umno division Women, Youth and Puteri Wings delegates meeting, here, today.
In the mean time, Muhyiddin who was also Pagoh Member of Parliament also recalled his dialogue with Najib when he had asked for an explanation over the money.
“I asked from where (did the money come from), he said from Middle Easteren contributors. I ask who was it and he replied that he can’t tell me.
“I asked him where did the money go to, he said it was into my account. Why in your account? , I asked and he replied that the contributor had told him to put it in his account.
“Do you believe it ? Well you do since someone has told you, you just believe it.”
In addition Muhyiddin also raised questions on the status of the money, claiming that several parties have been demanding for an explanation on the monies following his conversation with several Umno members.
He said, all parties including the people were expecting an explanation regarding the monies that was claimed to have been donated for the party’s use.
“The account has since been closed, is the any balance left ? Has it been banked into the party’s accounts ? I am unable to answer whether these things have happened or not.
“There are still a lot of unanswered questions. If its true that our government is transparent and accountable, we need to show it not only through words.
“Only then would the people be confident that the government is transparent and responsible.”

The ‘breast modelling’ industry in China has reached the stage where ‘breast models’ are able to earn a high income. Members of this new profession are called ‘breast models’.
And it all started because having beautiful breasts is a dream of many girls who pursue beauty. It is not difficult to imagine that underwear manufacturers, breast surgery hospitals and breast enhancement brands are always looking for models with attractive breasts to speak for their brand through all kinds of underwear photos and advertisements.
And a new profession is born.
Meng Xin is a Qingdao girl who had been bothered by her big breasts until she accidentally became a breast model. In the past few years, she travelled back and forth between Qingdao and Beijing. She earns more than 20 thousand yuan (RM12,300) every month for taking part in advertisements for about a dozen underwear brands. One of her photos was even selected for a textbook used by a medical school, which brought her 1,800 yuan.
Many people think breast models should have perfect figure and a beautiful face, but most of the breast models are just ordinary girls with big breasts.
China has many underwear brands and thousands of breast models, who could earn dozens of times more than other ordinary girls by average. These breast models become high-income earners.
Photo shoots for breast models is no different from the normal advertising shoot. The breast models are not naked at all as they will be wearing different types of underwear according to the assignment.
The photos will focus on the breasts generally without disclosing the faces of models.
Breast modelling has indeed become a profitable profession for girls who have the right “assets”.
Despite all the insults and threats received by public and authorities, self-styled Datuk Mahaguru Ibrahim Mat Zin, also known as Raja Bomoh, never gave up in locating missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 and claimed that his prediction was precise.
In the 3.06 minute video uploaded on the Suara.TV YouTube channel yesterday, wearing a dark suit complete with a songkok, Ibrahim said he had been proven right by recent developments but disappointed with how he was treated.
“(Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has announced that part of the aircraft was found on an island (Reunion Island). Based on my prediction last year, the aircraft would be located on an island but we are unsure which island. Today, my prediction was correct.”
“I was so disappointed with public, Mufti and Islamic Religious Department for claiming that my teachings are deviant.
“I am voluntarily went to KLIA to help retrieve MH370 because we are Malaysians and we are supposed to help each other. I was so annoyed with those who accused me as untrustworthy.”
He concluded by saying he would perform a supernatural ritual within 4 to 5 days so that more traces of the aircraft would appear, thus, helping in the search and rescue operations of the ill-fated flight.
Ibrahim achieved instant fame after he was spotted at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport last year with shamanic tools including coconuts, a bamboo scanner and a carpet to perform his supernatural rituals.
Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are working on their third film together called La La Land directed by Damien Chazelle. You know him from Whiplash. And Miles Teller recently told ESQUIRE that Ryan’s role was originally supposed to be for him but Damien changed his mind, saying he was no longer right for it. I mean, if you can get Ryan Gosling… who wouldn’t have made that decision. By the way, JK Simmons who won an Oscar under Damien’s direction will return for him in this follow-up. His character is called The Boss.
Here are Emma and Ryan on set yesterday, both in blues. La La Land is a musical. Ryan is a jazz pianist who falls in love with an actress, Emma. Apparently they’ll both be singing and dancing which, normally, are happy activities. But, you know, if you’ve seen Whiplash, there wasn’t much happiness in that film. And typically Ryan likes his acting as far from happy as possible.
Why Use Google Adsense ? Undoubtedly, you've heard about Google's AdSense and you are thinking about giving it a go. But is it really worth placing an AdSense banner on your site?
The answer is a definite yes. You could always have some other banner on your site, or even use some search of affiliate ad program and that would probably make you some money, given of course that your site enjoys a healthy amount of visitors. Donate However with affiliate marketing, it is expected that the visitor from your website completes a sale before you are remunerated.
But that's nowhere near what you get for using AdSense. There are people who earn in excess of 100.000 dollars per year by using AdSense. And it doesn't just stop with making more money. Firstly, the ads are text only. That means they're by far less obtrusive on your visitors then your average, flashy banner that's designed to catch the eye of the visitor.
Sure, you'll have to ensure they get better placement, so as to be noticed but despite that they don't bother viewer’s as much as traditional ads. Think about the many sites you've seen using pop-ups, floating banners and many other schemes that will have visitors screaming in anger every time they visit the said website. You can actually do better then that, annoying people less and still making an amount of money.
Secondly, the ads are generated based on the contents of your site automatically. When you use an affiliate ad program, you have to specify certain categories that your sites belong to.
However, if any page on your site falls outside of these categories, the banners aren't targeted anymore. And what that means is that you're potentially showing ads to people who don't have any interest in them and that can lead to inefficiencies.
With Google AdSense that just about never happens: the ads present on your site will always be in sync with whatever your visitors are interested in and that adds to your site's value and to the revenue it produces.
What's more, the look of these banners and their size is customizable, which means they will feel more integrated with the rest of your site's content, which brings an increase in your site's overall visual quality as opposed to a traditional approach.
For many people, there's also a great problem with finding people to advertise on their site as well. AdSense is clearly the easiest solution available to this problem today.
It's free to join the AdSense program and it almost takes no time at all. The potential database of websites from AdWords is larger then anything you might encounter from any competitor, numbering over 150.000 users. This means as more people compete the CPC or cost per click for search terms will inevitably rise.
Also, setting up AdSense on your site is a breeze, and you can complete the whole process in less then an hour. It takes a lot less to do then any form of affiliate advertising which is yet another reason to choose the easy AdSense approach.
All you need to do is add an AdSense banner on your website (other then registering with the program of course) is to copy & paste a few lines and you're all done, you get to choose where the banners go, how large they are and how they integrate with the rest of your site.
For any webmaster out there, that's a killer scheme because it lets you draw the line between your site's usability level and the amount of advertising you wish to have. Some people need the money badly while others just keep AdSense running to pay for the hosting of their website.
AdSense is a great advertising program because a lot of thought has went into making it "just work for everyone". It works great for the people who use AdWords, for the webmasters using AdSense, and most importantly for the visitors of the websites. You can Read for Google Adsense Tips Here.
